Get ready for the MAX!
The MAX Show offers an exciting, convention-like atmosphere and is a show no serious dealer, collector or historian would consider missing. The 1,200 tables showcase some of the very best in military collectibles, in quantities not to be seen anywhere else in the world. The MAX, of course, always attracts large contingent of dealers and collectors from all across the Unites States. In addition, a burgeoning international reputuation for excellence, coupled with favorable rates of exchange, do much to attract attendees from not only Europe but the wider world as well. Today we have nearly as many international participants as we do American, with representatives hailing from nearly every European country, Russia, South America, Canada, and even as far away as Japan and Australia! The MAX has truly become a world-class event.
In addition to dealer table sales, the MAX Show offers a dedicated Exhibition Area catering specifically to the collector. Each year these individuals are invited to display their painstakingly assembled collections in this area. Many of these collections are truly amazing, each the product of a lifetime of work and dedication to the hobby; truly labors of love. Each of these displays is in competetition for a coveted MAX Show trophy, as well as the opportunity to be recognized by one's peers in the world of military collecting. We sincerely hope that each and every attendee will make the time to visit the Exhibition Area; it is simply an experience you will not want to miss! Brian Ward serves as the MAX Show Exhibit Chairman, and he will be happy to address comments and field questions regarding the exhibits on display at the show, as well as discuss possible exhibits for future MAX shows. Our esteemed judges, in addition to Mr. Ward, are Barbara Flurchick, Daniel Liptack, Margeret Weinand, and Dr. Joe Campbell. Exhibit winners are announced on Saturday afternoon.
One evening is devoted to the MAX Show Seminar Program, Each year, under the chairmanship of Mr. Ron Weinand, the MAX Show provides what can only be described as an outstanding program devoted to lectures on our favorite collectibles. The program begins at 7:00 PM and, as always, is free of charge. These lectures are a golden opportunity to increase your knowledge regarding specific topics, and to meet some some of the experts in the hobby. If you would like to share your knowledge and expertise on a given subject at a future MAX Show, please contact Ron Weinand at (217) 223-6953, or email him at email@example.com.
